Nigeria has also sent volunteers specializing as doctors, nurses and pharmacists to Belize as a part of the Technical Aid Corps Agreement of 1990. A number of the volunteers have stayed and have attracted other Nigerians who have taken to urban livelihoods. Notable Nigerians in Belize include historians and metal craft teachers. Contributions by Nigerians have included a number of books on Belize’s African ancestry, history, entrepreneurship and economics.
